Altitude on its own is not interesting. What makes a ridgeline photograph is haze: each successive ridge is lighter than the one in front of it, and the frame reads as distance instead of as a hill.
Flown low into the sun at the end of the day, which is when the separation between the ridges is strongest and the shadows still have shape in them.
