Ten minutes after the sun goes, the sky is still bright and the ground is already dark. Shoot on available light and you get a silhouette. The frame only works if the subject is lit separately and the exposure is set for the sky behind her.
Wet sand does the rest. It holds the reflection and gives the figure something to stand in rather than on.
